By downloading, installing, or using Web Tutorial AI (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Core Functionality

Web Tutorial AI is a browser extension and web application that provides AI-powered assistance for web browsing, content analysis, research, and task automation. The Service includes:

• AI-powered webpage content analysis and explanation using Google Gemini, OpenRouter, and Anthropic Claude models
• Interactive AI assistant with customizable roles and task-based personas (e.g., Cloud Architect, Scholar Researcher, FDA Specialist, Patent Analyst, Legal Advisor, Data Scientist, and more)
• Automatic page context detection with intelligent role suggestions based on the content you are viewing
• MCP documentation integration for real-time access to AWS, Microsoft Learn, Cloudflare, Google Developer, and FDA compliance documentation
• Research tools including Semantic Scholar (academic papers), ArXiv (preprints), PatentsView (USPTO patents), Google Patents (global patents via Apify), trademark search, and OpenFDA (drug/device/food data)
• Web search integration with Brave Search, Perplexity, Serper.dev, and Exa.ai
• Text-to-speech with ElevenLabs, Google Cloud TTS, and Chrome Built-in TTS
• Email spam checker powered by Postmark SpamAssassin
• Usage tracking and subscription management

Service Tiers

Service Availability

• We strive for 99.9% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service
• Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated in advance
• Emergency maintenance may occur without prior notice
• Service availability may vary by geographic region
• Third-party services (AI providers, research APIs, MCP servers) are subject to their own availability and may experience independent outages

3. User Accounts and Registration

Account Creation

• You must provide accurate and complete registration information
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access
• One account per person; creating multiple accounts is prohibited

Account Security

• Use strong, unique passwords for your account
• Enable two-factor authentication when available
• Do not share your account credentials with others
• Log out of shared or public devices

API Key Responsibility

• You are responsible for obtaining and managing your own API keys for third-party services (e.g., Gemini, OpenRouter, Brave, Perplexity, Serper, Exa, ElevenLabs, Google Cloud TTS)
• API keys are encrypted locally on your device using AES-GCM and are never transmitted to our servers
• You are solely responsible for any charges incurred through your API keys with their respective providers
• We are not liable for unauthorized use of your API keys if your device is compromised
• You must comply with each third-party provider's terms of service when using their API keys through our extension

Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for all activities under your account
• Keep your contact information current and accurate
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Report any bugs or security vulnerabilities responsibly

4. Subscription and Billing

Subscription Plans

• Premium subscriptions are billed monthly at $5.00/month
• Free trial periods are limited to 14 days per email address
• Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by law
• Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice

Payment Processing

• Payments are processed securely through Stripe
• You authorize automatic recurring charges
• Payment method must remain valid throughout subscription
• Failed payments may result in service suspension

Cancellation and Refunds

• Cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• No partial refunds for unused portions of billing periods
• Refunds may be provided at our discretion for service issues

Usage Limits

• Usage limits are enforced based on your subscription tier
• Attempts to circumvent usage limits may result in account suspension
• Usage data is tracked for billing and service optimization
• Excessive usage may be subject to fair use policies

5. Acceptable Use Policy

Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service to:

• Generate illegal, harmful, or malicious content
• Harass, threaten, or harm others
• Violate intellectual property rights
• Distribute spam, malware, or phishing content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems

Technical Restrictions

Reporting Violations

Report violations of these policies to abuse@webtutorial.ai. We investigate all reports and may take action including warnings, account suspension, or termination.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

AI-Generated Content

Third-Party Content

• Respect third-party intellectual property when using the Service
• We are not responsible for third-party content or rights violations

7. AI Content Generation

• AI responses are generated by machine learning models, not human experts

• We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated content

Research Tools & MCP Documentation Disclaimers

• Research results from Semantic Scholar, ArXiv, and other academic sources are provided as-is from their respective sources and may contain errors or be incomplete
• Patent and trademark search results (from PatentsView, Google Patents, and trademark databases) are informational only and do not constitute legal advice. Consult a qualified patent or trademark attorney for legal matters.
• FDA data from OpenFDA is informational only and does not constitute professional regulatory guidance. Consult qualified regulatory professionals for compliance decisions.
• MCP documentation from AWS, Microsoft Learn, Cloudflare, Google Developer, and FDA sources may be outdated, incomplete, or contain inaccuracies. Always verify against official documentation.
• Spam analysis results from the email spam checker are advisory only and should not be the sole basis for email delivery decisions

Responsible Use

• Review AI content before sharing or publishing
• Ensure AI-generated content complies with applicable laws
• Do not present AI content as human-created without disclosure
• Consider the impact of AI content on others

Limitations

• AI cannot provide professional advice (legal, medical, financial, regulatory)
• AI knowledge may be outdated or incomplete
• AI cannot access real-time information unless explicitly provided
• AI responses are not substitutes for professional consultation

10. Termination
